Pianist Ralitza Patcheva

Pianist-Ralitza-Patcheva-cropped_311x330Pianist Ralitza Patcheva was a prizewinner at the 51st International Busoni Competition in Italy, the Washington International Competition, and the International Chamber Music Competition of the Accademia di Citta di Pinerolo in Italy.  She has performed as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra, Arlington Symphony, Alexandria Symphony, Jena Philharmonic (Germany), and the Haydn Orchestra (Italy).  Dr. Patcheva has given recitals and chamber music performances at such concert venues as the Kennedy Center, the Phillips Collection, Strathmore Hall, Jubilee Hall (England), St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall and Tchaikovsky Hall (Russia), and Gasteig and Gewandhaus (Germany).  In addition, she has served as a visiting artist of the Villa Musica Concert Foundation (Germany).  Currently, Dr. Patcheva is associate chair of chamber music at the Levine School of Music, where she is also on the piano faculty, and a professor of chamber music at Georgetown University’s Department of Performing Arts.  Formerly, she was on the faculties of the University of Maryland at College Park and the Hochschule fur Musik (Germany).
