Congratulations, Maestro Antony Walker! Maria Stuarda was incredible! The orchestra, the chorus, and the singers—Georgia Jarman in the title role, Brenda Harris as Elisabetta, Michael Spyres as Roberto, our very own Patrick Carfizzi as Talbot, Troy Cook as Cecil, and Alexandra Loutsion as Anna—were all outstanding! Washington Concert Opera certainly closed its season with golden doors.

Now, we are all looking forward to next season’s productions: I Masnadieri (September 22, 2013) and Il Corsaro (March 9, 2014). Viva Verdi!
