Board members and members of Partners were at the Iona Senior Center for an excellent learning experience on Tuesday, February 26.  Peter Russell, Washington Concert Opera’s founding artistic advisor and current general director of Vocal Arts DC, presented a very informative lecture on La Voix Humaine and Dialogues of the Carmelites by Francis Poulenc.  The talk was highlighted with fine DVD excerpts from both operas.  Refreshments were served and included cookies baked by Mr. Russell himself.  We could not have asked for a better afternoon!

Join us for the last lecture in this series on Tuesday, March 26, when the topic will be Benjamin Britten’s opera A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  Click HERE to see the lecture schedule and details, or just refer to Group Events in the left-hand sidebar.
